Congress grills TRS on GHMC works

Congress have alleged that the GHMC had failed to take up repairs to roads in the capital.

Hyderabad: Congress leaders Shabbir Ali and Danam Nagender on Sunday criticised the TRS government for utterly failing in its duty to develop Hyderabad even one year after it won the GHMC polls with a huge mandate.

Addressing a press conference on Sunday, the leaders claimed that things have gone from bad to worse due to inefficiency, corruption and nepotism in government departments and demanded that the government declare the programmes and projects taken up in the capital city and GHMC area and the outcome of hundreds of crore of investments made till now.

They have alleged that the GHMC had failed to take up repairs to roads in the capital though they were scheduled in October last year. “Where are skyways and flyovers? Where are the sky scrappers, six-lane and eight-lane roads, you promised in the election manifesto,” the Congress leaders asked the TRS.
