No impact of YS Sharmila and rebel MLAs on YSRC in AP, says Perni Venkataramaiah

Venkataramaiah criticizes Jana Sena for lacking strong leadership, expresses confidence in Jagan Mohan Reddy's leadership.

Vijayawada: YSRC MLA Perni Venkataramaiah alias Nani has criticised Jana Sena for inviting people from 22 other parties to join him. “The JS lacked a proper leader and dedicated cadres,” he said.

The former minister said there was no problem to the YSRC if Y.S. Sharmila came to AP. “She is a politician. What will be the problem to the YSRC with her arrival,” he asked.

“Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy started the YSRC, I and some others joined the party due to Jagan Mohan Reddy’s leadership and nothing would happen if some leaders leave the YSRC.”

He said YSRC rebel MLA Kapu Ramachandra Reddy would not have won the seat without Jagan Mohan Reddy’s charisma. There would be no impact on the YSRC if such leaders leave the party, he said.

Perni Nani said that Chandrababu gave the call of Raa Kadali Raa, asking the public to join TD, but Naidu did not say why they should do so. “Did Chandrababu build even one office in the villages during his 14-year rule? Did his administration reduce expenses and increase income? Chandrababu said that he will give a job to every family. How many jobs did he give? Chandrababu and Pawan did nothing for the people when they were in power. Now they are saying that they will do something if they come to power. They say this to cheat the public again.”

Referring to Naidu’s statement at the Kanigiri public meeting today, Perni Nani said Chandrababu and Pawan have a habit of talking crazy things. He said CM Jagan built 17 medical colleges, several ports, secretariats and schools. “Industries worth lakhs of crores have come to the state.”

Perni Nani asked why should BCs vote for Chandrababu and alleged that Naidu did nothing to BCs but used them as vote banks. “Chandrababu is the person who gave 600 promises in 2014 and did not implement a single one. Why should the people of the state trust such a person,'' he asked.
