Dharani will be scrapped if Congress comes to power: Revanth

The PCC chief said that they will also ensure loan waiver of up to Rs 2 lakh to farmers

Hyderbad: PCC chief A. Revanth Reddy on Monday assured that the party on coming to power would scrap the Dharani portal. Leading a demonstration at Vikarabad collectorate, as part of statewide protests in support of farmers, he promised that the party, after coming to power, would also ensure loan waiver of up to Rs 2 lakh to farmers. He vowed to continue the campaign in favour of the farmers in the coming days.

“As soon as Congress comes to power, Dharani will be dumped in the Bay of Bengal and will waive farm loans worth Rs 2 lakh,” he said.

Revanth Reddy alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao did not have the moral right to continue in the job as one lakh farmers had committed suicide since the TRS came to power in 2014.

Revanth Reddy reiterated that TRS and BJP were engaging themselves in dramas in the name of Poachgate and Delhi liquor scam to divert the attention of the people from issues concerning them.

“Sonia and Rahul Gandhi faced the ED bravely. But when it comes to MLAs poaching case, BJP leader B.L. Santosh is scared of the ED. When Santosh has done nothing wrong, why is he getting a court stay? Why is Kavitha not attending the interrogation? I was jailed illegally in 2015 when my daughter was getting married. Now with CBI knocking the doors of Kavitha, Chandrashekar Rao will feel the pain,” he said.

CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka led the protest in Khammam, AICC secretary S.A. Sampath Kumar in Gadwal, Ponnam Prabhakar in Karimnagar, Shabbir Ali in Kamareddy while DCC presidents led the demonstrations in their respective districts.
