TS-iPASS cleared project worth Rs 1.70 lakh crore
Hyderabad: IT, MAUD and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) on Wednesday participated in the fifth anniversary celebrations of TS-iPASS (Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self Certification System) at Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad.
The TS-iPASS system has reportedly brought in an investment of Rs 1.73 lakh crore to the State and in the process created 13.02 lakh employment opportunities.
Mr Rao highlighted the government’s efforts to give a major boost to investments.
“We are developing sector-specific industrial parks, which focus on pharma, medical devices, aerospace, defence, MSME, textiles, food processing and other industries. These have paved the way for the entry of new industries in the State, which, has also helped generate innumerable jobs,” he said.
The Minister said that the government was deeply committed to industrialisation.
“With the support of investors, we will continue to prosper and bring in new reforms, which will reduce corruption, improve cost-effective ease of doing business,” he said.
Later, he and Labour Minister Ch Malla Reddy presented awards to collectors from districts that were in the forefront of TS-iPASS implementation in the last five years.
He also presented a cheque for Rs 305 crore (subsidy amount) to T-Pride (Telangana State Program for Rapid Incubation of Dalit Entrepreneurs).
