YSRC holds protest rally against TD leader Bandaru Satyanarayana

Vijayawada: A rally led by state Planning Board vice chairman and Central MLA Malladi Vishnu here on Thursday sought stern action against TD leader Bandaru Satyanarayana and others for their “derogatory remarks” against Tourism Minister RK Roja.

The protest, organised from the MLA camp office in Andhra Prabha Colony, moved through Ambedkar statue in Ajit Singh Nagar. A large number of women and party activists participated in the rally along with deputy mayor Srisailaja Reddy and YSRC corporators.

Malladi Vishnu said chief minister Jagan Reddy had appointed RK Roja as a minister and she was striving for the development of the state. “TD leaders claim that their party stands for the self-respect of all Telugus, but they are supporting leaders like Bandaru Satyanarayana and Ayyannapatrudu who are bad-mouthing women.”

“If the Telugu Desam really respects women, Bandaru Satyanarayana should be suspended from the party. Else, it will be deemed that Bandaru made inappropriate comments as per directions of Chandrababu,” he added.
