Pawan Kalyan Clarifies: Jana Sena is Part of NDA

Vijayawada: Dismissing the rumours that Jana Sena quit the National Democratic Alliance, party chief Pawan Kalyan has asserted on Thursday that the JS remained very much a part of the BJP-led national alliance.

“The YSRC is behind this false propaganda,” he said during his Varahi Vijaya Yatra speech at Mudinepalli in Krishna district.

“I have great respect towards Prime Minister Modi, home minister Amit Shah and BJP president J.P. Nadda. I hope they would take a right decision for the development of AP with regard to political alliances for the coming polls,” he said.

Pawan Kalyan said, “As long as I live, I want the JS-TD alliance to flourish with blessings from the BJP. We should work together in the upcoming polls with the sole aim of dislodging the YSRC government.”

“If the JS comes out of NDA, we will tell the NDA leaders about it first. We will do this boldly. There is no question of hiding it.”

“We are confident that the JS-TD alliance will form a government after the upcoming polls,” he claimed.

In a gesture to Muslims, Pawan Kalyan stopped his speech for a while after he heard prayers from the nearby mosque. He resumed the speech when the prayers ended.

Pawan Kalyan said, “Though I am a Hindu and believed in Hindu Dharma, I would respect all other religions. My Sanatana Dharma taught me to do so.”

Expressing concern over the way TD chief Chandrababu Naidu was kept in jail, Pawan Kalyan called it unfortunate. “I was unable to see Naidu in such a condition,” he said about his visit to the central jail.

He said, “I want to work for the development of AP. If you want me to become CM, yes. But it depends on God’s grace and the people’s support. I am more concerned about your future even at the cost of keeping my self-interests away. I want both JS and TD to be united. I appeal to the supporters from both JS and TD to forgive each other’s past mistakes and contest together in the polls. The time has come to send Jagan Mohan Reddy back to his home.”

The JS chief announced a series of sops to the people in Kaikaluru Assembly segment and vowed to develop it and generate employment opportunities. He flayed the local MLA and his son for their mediations in police stations over people’s problems and getting involved in corruption.

He blamed the Jagan Mohan Reddy government for its “failure to develop the area” and listed out several works that the state government did not take forward.
