Ministers under KCR rubber stamps, charges Etala
KARIMNAGAR: “Ministers in the KCR cabinet are rubber stamps. They are ministers for name sake and cannot take decisions on their own,” declared former minister and BJP leader Etala Rajendar on Tuesday.
“This is the reason why people have stopped giving representations to ministers,” he underlined while addressing the Nayee Brahmin Atmiya Sabha organised in Jammikunta town of Huzurabad constituency under leadership of Surepalli Srinivas, Shankar, Raju, Vikas, Rajaiah and Kishan.
Rajendar said only when there are elections, KCR remembers Nayee Brahmins and Rajaka community people. He makes fake promises to them, like he did during Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections. He later escapes from implementing his promises giving silly reasons, he pointed out.
The former minister said though impressive budgets are announced, what the KCR government really spends is meagre. He underlined that while the government allotted Rs 2,500 crore in the budget for MBC communities, it spent only Rs 7 crore.
Rajendar observed that KCR does not want any minister to get a good name. He wants all fame for himself, like an emperor or king. “Against KCR’s expectations, I worked hard and received appreciation from various sections of the society during the Covid-19 pandemic. Unable to tolerate the good name and image I got, he removed me as the cabinet minister,” the former minister explained.
He alleged that though TRS government has issued GOs worth Rs 4,700 crore for Huzurabad constituency, only Rs 250 crore has been spent till date.
Rajendar alleged that TRS is ready to give Rs 20,000 per vote in the coming by-poll. “Take that money as it belongs to you. But vote for justice and morality by choosing the Lotus symbol,” he stated.
