KCR had praised Naidu for Hyderabad development: Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy
Vijayawada: Agriculture minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, said that Telangana State Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was afraid of facing polls. He said the Telangana people would not appreciate the comments Mr Rao made against his AP counterpart N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Talking to reporters here on Thursday, Mr Chandramohan Reddy said the TD would exist as long as the Telangana state existed. He recalled that Mr Rao had praised Mr Naidu for the development of Hyderabad but was now criticising him for political gains.
Mr Chandramohan Reddy said he was unable to understand why Mr Rao was scared of the TD when he thought that the party did not have any presence in Telangana. He went on to say that Mr Rao was feeling envious of Mr Naidu.
It would be a loss to Mr Rao if he criticised Mr Naidu, the minister said. He also said that right from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to KCR, everyone was afraid of Mr Naidu.
He chided Mr Rao saying he would not get votes if Andhra origin people were criticised in Telangana. He questioned why the TRS had an alliance with the Congress in 2004 and with the TD in 2009.
Stating that public would teach a befitting lesson to Mr Rao in Telangana, Mr Reddy found fault with Mr Rao’s remarks that Mr Naidu had destroyed Telangana whereas it was he who had developed Hyderabad.
