Jagan Mohan Reddy trying to reach all faiths
Vijayawada: While the TD is trying to reach the masses through Intintiki TDP programme, the YSRC chief is focusing on meeting Hindu religious leaders and seers of various famous Peethams. In order to erase the notion among the people that he is confined to only one faith, the YSRC chief started this exercise. This new dimension has now prompted the TD headquarters to design a new strategy to counter his moves. Few senior ministers have already been assigned the task of noticing the developments at the YSRC headquarters to be inaugurated shortly at Vijayawada. The same team will also assess the impact of Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy’s meeting the seers.
The YSRC chief and leader of Opposition Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and Rajya Sabha member Mr Vijay Sai Reddy have been to Chinna Jeeyar Swamy’s ashram at Hyderabad, on Tuesday and had a ‘closed-door meeting’. Speculations are widespread about the actual agenda of the meeting. His meeting with Chinna Jeeyar has gained significance, as within a few days, Mr Reddy is inaugurating YSRC’s headquarters in Vijayawada and he has sought the blessings of Chinna Jeeyar for his padayatra. The subtle step, Mr Reddy has taken to meet Chinna Jeeyar, has sent a clear message to the TD chief Mr Chandrababu Naidu and also to the Hindu voters that he is not confined to only one faith. Following the damage experienced by YSRC in the last general elections at Visakhapatnam particularly that YSRC was confined to only one faith, Mr Reddy has been trying hard to reach various sections of Hindus. As part of that, he participated in Maha Kumbhabhishekam in Sree Sarada Peetham.
