Andhra Pradesh CM at hospital, enquires about Karuna's health
Chennai: There is a slight dip in the medical condition of the 94-year-old DMK president whose pulse rate has become cause for concern. Union Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu visited Kauvery hospital here where the DMK stalwart is undergoing treatment since July 28 and enquired about his health.
Mr. Prabhu met DMK working president M. K. Stalin, besides DMK MP Kanimozhi. He was accompanied by senior BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain and party's state unit president Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan.
“Called on @kalaignar89 Dr Karunanidhi with @ShahnawazBJP @DrTamilisaiBJP and our party leaders. We all wish he will get well soon to guide millions of his well wishers @arivalayam (DMK hq) (sic),” Prabhu tweeted. “Great leader who shaped politics for decades. Get well soon #Kalaignar @mkstalin @KanimozhiDMK,” the minister added. Mr. Chandrababu Naidu, who later in the day visited the Kauvery Hospital, enquired about Mr. Karunanidhi’s health from his son.
“Visited @kalaignar89 at the Kauvery hospital, Chennai today and met with @mkstalin to discuss the DMK Chief's health. Praying that he (Karunanidhi) recovers soon and gains his health back,” Mr. Naidu tweeted. ISRO scientist M Annadurai and actor R Parthiban also visited the hospital and enquired about the DMK leader's health.
