THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state committee on Friday finalised the schedule and norms for the party conferences beginning from September. The state conference will be held from February 22 to 25, 2018 at Thrissur. The party state committee has drawn the schedule for party state, district, area, local and branch conferences. The process of conferences will begin from September 15. The branch conferences, local and area conferences will be over by December 15.
District conferences schedule is as follows; Thrissur and Wayand December 26,27, 28, Kasargod and Pathanamthitta December 29,30, 31,Kozhikode-Kottayam January 2,3,4, Kollam-Malappuram January 5,6,7, Idukki - Palakkad January 8,9,10, Thiruvananthapuram-Alappuzha January 13,14 and 15, Ernakulam January 16,17 and 18 and Kannur January 19,20 ,21. CPM state secretary said the party would launch a state wide political campaign from August 15 to 31 against the anti people policies of the central government including privatisation and sale of Public Sector Units in the state.
The campaign will demand the jobs promised by the Modi government . He said on September 1, rallies will be held across the state to commemorate the international peace day. The central committee has convened an international conference of Left parties in Asia to be held in Kochi on April 23 and 24. The leaders of communist parties and left movements will attend the meet. A public meeting will be held on the last day of the meet in Kochi.
