KCR should apologise, says Uttam Kumar Reddy

He doubted whe-ther the TS government ran by the Constitution.

Hyderabad: Telangana Congress leaders including former Union minister S. Jaipal Reddy, TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and CLP leader K. Jana Reddy on Monday took on Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for not implementing the High Court judgement on expelled Congress MLAs.

Mr Jaipal Reddy said the High Court had dismissed the government's action on expelling the legislators, Mr Komatireddy Venkata Reddy and Mr Sampath Kumar, but the state government was neither appealing the verdict nor implementing the High Court's decision.

Mr Rao knew that the expulsion was against the Constitution and therefore would not appeal the verdict, Mr Jaipal Reddy said, add-ing he had never seen such a situation in 70 years. He doubted whe-ther the TS government ran by the Constitution.

Mr Uttam Kumar Reddy said Mr Rao should tender an apology to the state and revoke the expulsion of the MLAs and restore their membership of the Assembly immediately.
