Shifting picks pace: Chandrababu Naidu asks staff to start working from June 27
Hyderabad: The process of shifting has picked up pace. AP Chief Secretary S.P. Tucker has told all the departments in the Secretariat that they have to start working from the new capital from June 27 as decided by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
He asked the secretaries to start the shifting process in earnest. Following his directive, the secretaries are setting up departmental committees to work out the process.
Special Chief Secretary, Finance department, Ajeya Kallam has issued orders constituting the Transition Committee which will be chaired by finance secretary M. Ravichandra. Besides, several section-wise subcommittees will be set up.
In his orders, Mr Kallam said that keeping in view the CM’s instructions to shift all offices to Amaravati by June 27, a transition committee has been formed along with subcommittees to guide and coordinate the process of shifting files, infrastructure and staff of the department from Hyderabad to Amaravati. The sub-committees are entrusted with a job chart to ensure smooth shifting.
The job chart consists of enumeration of items, labelling of items, stacking, uploading and off-loading arrangements at the premises and handing them over to circulating officers concerned.
Mr Kallam has instructed the circulating officers to ensure that the respective assistant section officers (ASOs) take over the material duly verifying the contents and submit taking over report to the section officers, assistant section officers and circulating officers in that order.
Meanwhile, Mr Ravichandra held a meeting with the members of the Other departments also will take similar exercise on shifting of their departments.
