HANAMKONDA: Congress has made elaborate arrangements for ensuring the success of Rythu Sangarshana Sabha to be addressed by its top leader Rahul Gandhi at Arts and Science College ground in Hanamkonda on Friday.
The party has installed huge circular hoardings with flag buntings, cut-outs, and flexies of Rahul Gandhi on either side of the road from Madikonda to Hanamkonda city through Kazipet.
Congress leaders have decided to mobilise over 5 lakh people for the meeting, mainly from north Telangana districts like old Karimnagar, Khammam, Medak and Warangal districts. The party has handed over responsibility to leaders of respective constituencies for mobilising at least 10,000 people from each mandal within a radius of 50 kilometres from the meeting venue, around 5,000 people from each mandal under 70 kilometres and around 3,000 people from each mandal in radius of 100 kilometres.
Three daises have been set up at the meeting venue. One is the main dais for Rahul Gandhi and 50 other key leaders of the party. Second is for family members of farmers who committed suicide and the third is for organising cultural activities.
Rahul Gandhi will reach Kazipet by helicopter before being taken in a huge procession to the meeting venue of Arts and Science College grounds. The meeting is scheduled in the evening between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
While all Congress leaders' flexies and cut-outs welcoming Rahul Gandhi for Rythu Sangarshana Sabha are present, those of former minister Konda Sureka and Konda Murali are missing.
