Grow stronger, forget alliance: Chandrababu Naidu to Telugu Desam

N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday advised the party's state president, L. Ramana, to act aggressively for the party to survive.

Hyderabad: AP Chief Minister and the Telugu Desam national president N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed displeasure over the functioning of the Telangana TD leaders, particularly the Telangana TD president L. Ramana. In the Telangana TD general body meeting held on Friday at NTR Bhavan, in which Naidu was the chief guest, he advised Mr Ramana to act aggressively for the party to survive. He asked him to take along all party leaders and act impartially.
Mr Naidu also told the Telangana TD leaders not to think about an alliance with any party but rather strengthen the party to fight alone.

He said that if the party became strong, then, in a triangular contest it would have an advantage and many parties would come forward for an alliance. He advised the party leaders to go the masses to solve their problems and thus help strengthen the party. He also said that their enthusiasm should be seen not only at NTR Bhavan but also at the ground level. He asked them to grow independently and not depend on him.

Mr Naidu added that the party would announce candidates for the forthcoming elections in Telangana in advance and asked the leaders to concentrate on their respective constituencies. He said the BJP had tried to target the TD in AP but it had become the target instead while in Telan-gana it distanced itself from the TD on its own.

Naidu also said that Nara Brahmini was not interested in coming into politics though Telangana leaders were very often requesting that Brahmini lead the TD in Telangana. A decision was taken at the meeting to conduct theTelangana TD Mahanadu on 24th May at the Exhibition Grounds and to hold the main Mahanadu of the party from 27th to 29th May at Vijayawada. Naidu asked the Telangana TDP leaders to attend the Mahanadu at Vijayawada.
