BJP won't be cowed down by KCR and his family: Kishan

Hyderabad: The BJP declared on Wednesday that it will not be cowed down by the BRS government's shenanigans, which included arresting BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar for alleged conspiracy to defame the government in a case involving an SSC question paper leak while the exam was still taking place on Tuesday.

Union minister and senior BJP leader G. Kishan Reddy told reporters that “the illegal arrest and dictatorial acts of the Kalvakunta family will not deter the BJP from exposing the BRS government”. Naming Sanjay Kumar as the Accused No. 1 in the case and arresting him are desperate diversionary tactics used by the Kalvakuntla family to deflect the attention away from crucial issues such as the TSPSC question paper leaks.”

He claimed that Sanjay Kumar was targeted because he was at the forefront of calling on the BRS administration to account for its failures. Kishan Reddy said of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his son and minister K.T. Rama Rao, "The father and son duo have been spreading lies." Every attempt to subdue the BJP strengthens it."

Sanjay Kumar, he claimed, was targeted because he was at the forefront of exposing the BRS government's failures and demanding accountability.

“The father and son duo have been spreading lies. Every effort to suppress the BJP will only make our party stronger. No matter how many of us are arrested, the BJP will rid Telangana of the Razakar supporting BRS government, and the corrupt and dictatorial rule of the Kalvakuntla family,” he said.

The BJP's recent victory in the Teachers MLCs constituency elections is just one indication that the party is gaining traction in Telangana. "We will bring about change throughout the state. My appeal to the people is that they see through the BRS government's diversionary tactics and its clampdown on anyone who questions it or the Kalvakuntla family."

In response to a question about Chandrashekar Rao's alleged assurance to political parties that he will fund their election campaigns, Kishan Reddy stated, "If people wanted to buy parties and were successful, Tata or Ambani would have been prime ministers."

Sanjay Kumar was not even allowed to take his medicines before being picked up from his home in Karimnagar, he said, adding that the government is trying to say “one person sent him a question paper yesterday, and that the person chatted with Sanjay the day before and hence Sanjay Kumar led a conspiracy, is nothing more than desperation to suppress the voice that is asking tough questions to the government”.
