The leader, however, promised the people to ensure justice to them on the Kakinada Special Economic Zone (KSEZ) issue.

Kakinada: Pithapuram MLA and Telugu Desam candidate of Pithapuram Assembly Segment S.N.C.N. Varma tasted a bitter experience here on Thursday when he wanted to reach Ramanakkapet village of U.Kothapalli mandal for election campaigning. People from the village obstructed him demanding that he go back from the village. He went to the village amidst heavy police security for the campaign. However, the people tried to obstruct him as he entered the village. They alleged that Mr Varma was in opposition.

The leader, however, promised the people to ensure justice to them on the Kakinada Special Economic Zone (KSEZ) issue. They said that Mr Varma promised them to abolish the KSEZ and give back their lands to the farmers. He also joined in KSEZ movement before 2014 elections. But, now, the villagers alleged that after getting elected as MLA, he cheated the farmers and joined hands with KSEZ management and harassed the farmers and the people of the area. However, Mr Varma forcibly entered the village with police forces and with no response from people, he returned from the village within a few minutes.
