NaMoWarriors get ready for TN battle
Chennai: Remembering the huge impact delivered by the cyber campaigners in catapulting Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as India’s Prime Minister in 2014, the BJP has begun in all seriousness the efforts to make the best use of the social media platforms to take its campaign to the voters. The focus on cyber space will be even more this election time since the number of active users has gone up multifold compared to this time five years ago, insist saffron seniors.
State BJP secretary K.T Raghavan is in charge of the party’s social media bombardment in Tamil Nadu. The suave persuasive campaigner, a familiar face in Tamil TV political debates, is busy giving the final touches for a massive ‘NaMoWarriors’ rally being planned at the YMCA-Royapetta grounds at Chennai on March 10, close on the heels of the mega Prime Minister show of the NDA-TN in suburban Vandalur on Wednesday.
“We are aiming to enroll not less than one lakh members as these NaMoWarriors for our social media campaign, which will take to the masses all the many great social welfare initiatives and development projects, apart from the massive infrastructure investments done by our government at the Centre. We are expecting at least 5000 of them turning up at the launch rally (March 10), which will be led by Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman”, Raghavan said.
“The NaMoWarriors will focus on the benefits that came to Tamil Nadu, debunking all the negative publicity and the gross lying being done by the Opposition alleging nothing good happened to our state all these five years”, said the BJP senior, sounding super confident.
