Will ask Modi, Shah to hold more rallies: BS Yeddyurappa

Bengaluru: Buoyed by the victory in the Northeastern states, the state BJP has decided to request PM Modi and party president Amit Shah to increase their visits to the state to repeat the N-E results in poll-bound Karnataka.

After the meeting, state BJP president B.S. Yeddyurappa exuded said that the party is confident of reaching the target of 150 seats in the state, set by Mr Shah. “The electorate will give a fitting reply to the killing of two dozen Hindu activists over the last six months under the current Congress government. The state will become Congress-mukt after Assembly polls. The arrogant CM Siddaramaiah will be sent home,” he said. Mr Yeddyurappa said the meeting ecided to organise more public meetings to be addressed by Mr Modi and Mr Shah in different parts of the state. Mr Modi will address a meeting in Raichur on March 13. Jan Jagruthi Yatra will be held all over the state to prepare the cadre for polls. Mr Shah will take part in the valedictory of “Bengaluru Ulisi” padayatra in the city on March 15, he said.

“An OBC rally will be held in Koodalasangama on March 7 which will be addressed by Mr Shah. Efforts are on to bring Mr Modi for the rally to woo the backward classes. Senior BJP leader K.S. Eshwarappa has been given the responsibility of making the meet a success,” he said.
