TD chief demands white paper on AP finances
Vijayawada: TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu has demanded that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy release a white paper on finances of Andhra Pradesh, revealing the loans taken by the state government and amounts spent on welfare.
Addressing media here on Tuesday, he said the reality is that during Jagan Mohan Reddy’s 30-month rule, Andhra Pradesh has gone back 30 years on development. Naidu called YSRC chief a “man of destruction” who finds it easier to destroy than construct. He pointed out that after AP got bifurcated, he, as then Chief Minister, painstakingly constructed Praja Vedika. But Jagan destroyed it on June 25, 2019. “Its debris is still lying there as an example of YSRC’s retrograde policies,” he stated.
The TDP chief accused the Chief Minister of crushing Amaravati as capital, despite it being a ₹ 2 lakh crore asset on which ₹ 10,000 crore had already been spent. He pointed out that even Polavaram project has got delayed due to reverse tendering process. “Can Jagan Reddy complete it in 2022,” he asked. Though the YSRC had promised to complete Polavaram by December 2021, even the project’s DPR has not yet been finalised, Naidu underlined.
He said the main motive of Jagan Mohan Reddy going to Delhi is to get rid of CBI, Vivekananda murder and ED cases.
