Hyderabad: Congress MLC Shabbir Ali on Friday alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has done injustice to the BCs by reducing their reservation in the Panchayat polls.
Mr Shabbir Ali said on Friday, “Citing Supreme Court order, Mr Rao is cheating the BCs in Telangana. He should answer about the reservations for the STs and Muslims which he promised in the recent and in 2014 polls. Issuing this Ordinance is nothing but cheating the BCs who voted for him. If he really works for the welfare of BCs, why did he not file a review petition?”
The result of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections would not be the same as that of the the recently concluded Assembly elections in Telngana state, Mr Ali said, adding: “Since PM Narendra Modi has failed to fulfil his promises, the people will choose the Congress.”
