PM Narendra Modi should walk the talk: CM Siddaramaiah

Mr Siddaramaiah taunted the Centre saying his was a Kaam Ki Baat' (working government) and not merely Mann Ki Baat.'

Hassan: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that speeches like ‘Mann Ki Baat’ (a programme in which Prime Minister Modi addresses the nation) are not enough as the speeches should be matched with deeds.

Drawing a comparison between his Congress government and the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Union government, Mr Siddaramaiah taunted the Centre saying his was a ‘Kaam Ki Baat’ (working government) and not merely ‘Mann Ki Baat.’
He also attacked BJP national president Amit Shah and remarked that even if Mr Shah and his entire BJP team descend on the state, the tactics of the party to woo voters in the forthcoming Assembly elections will not work.

Addressing a gathering as part of his ‘Sadana Samavesha’ at Arasikere in Hassan on Thursday, Mr Siddaramaiah accused the BJP government at the Centre of showing no interest in waiving farm loans of the state and wondered if it was a pro-farmer government? Claiming that his government had fulfilled as many as 156 promises made in the 2013 poll manifesto, Siddaramaiah said the remaining promises will be fulfilled in two months.
