Siddaramaiah Asserts Govt's Preparedness to Address Opposition in Winter Session

BELAGAVI: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah declared the state government's readiness to address every question posed by the opposition during the ongoing winter session, an annual event held in Belagavi. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah arrived at Belagavi Airport on Monday morning to attend the session. "The session starts today. We are ready to reply to any questions raised by the opposition parties," Siddaramaiah told reporters at the airport. He said that the issues related to North Karnataka would be given importance. In response to questions regarding the joint efforts of the BJP and JD(S) to corner the government on various issues, Siddaramaiah asserted that the opposition BJP lacks the moral standing to question the government. "Even after six months of the election, the BJP had not elected the leader of the opposition. The opposition has no morality to question the government. Even if they (BJP and JD(S)) fight jointly, the government is ready," he added.
