TRS brings in acche din for MPTCs, ZPTCs in Goa to ensure MLC poll votes

Khammam: Videos of erstwhile Khammam district MPTCs and ZPTCs dancing in pubs in Goa have gone viral on WhatsApp groups, particularly those tracking the district politics. Common people, in a mood fused with envy and anger, are forwarding them to their friends and social networks.

Interestingly, family members of these 'lucky voters' on a trip of their life, when these videos reached them, were surprised at the scale of luxurious indulgences being provided to them, all in lieu of the upcoming MLC elections in the local bodies category.The Palair voters of Khammam Local Body MLC Constituency were placed in a resort in Goa where all 'facilities' are available.

These public representatives are seen dancing in an inebriated condition to music they perhaps barely know. Women leaders took part in dances in some videos, which are the rage on social media.Khammam voters spread across ten assembly segments have been given accommodation in different resorts in Goa for over a week now.

The distance between these resorts is between 10 to 100 kilometers. An MPTC, who did not wish to be named, said, “there are amazing facilities in these resorts, including spa and massage centres, besides from pubs and restaurants with varied cuisines. Most MPTCs, including me, who are from a rural background, did not have such experiences in the past. We are enjoying the facilities a lot. We never before had money or opportunity to visit such places.”

The TRS party organizers are not raising any objections to any of the demands of MPTCs, councilors and corporators; and trying to ensure the flock is happy.

Besides fun, there is some socialisation too. These public representatives, enjoying their acche din thanks to the TRS party, are getting introduced to each and sharing information and issues about their village or mandal. The TRS organisers of the sojourn have a sightseeing tour planned ahead during the next three days, covering interesting tourist spots in North Goa, including Fort Aguada and Anjuna beach, Arambol and Calangute beaches.

The guests too are conducting their research on internet on mobile phones and making additional demands.The wish list ahead includes casinos like Deltin Royal, a famous casino in Goa, and Big Daddy, prefered by tourists. The Telangana leaders, who have already won a lottery in a way, are trying an additional hand or two there.
