KCR Offers Prayers at Konaipally Temple, Signs Nomination Papers

Hyderabad: Keeping with his tradition of visiting the Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple in Konaipally in Siddipet district and seeking the deity’s blessings as part of his preparation to file nomination forms for elections, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday visited the temple amidst a rousing reception from the people.

Priests welcomed the Chief Minister with the traditional ‘Purna Kumbham’ following which he he prayed to the deity.

Rao placed his nomination papers at the deity’s feet and offered prayers and received blessings from the priests. He later signed the documents in the temple premises. The Chief Minister is scheduled to file his nomination papers from Gajwel, the seat he currently represents in the Assembly, and from Kamareddy on November 9.

On his visit to the Konaipally temple, Chandrashekar Rao was accompanied by finance minister and Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao, MPs Joginpally Santosh Kumar and G. Ranjith Reddy, and party leader Sravan Reddy and others.
