Pawan Kalyan asks Rahul Gandhi not to aid political opportunism
Vijayawada: Jana Sena (JS) founder president Pawan Kalyan asked AICC president Rahul Gandhi not to encourage political opportunism. He asked him not to be like the senior Congress leaders who made the haphazard division of the AP State. He alleged that for more than a decade in their own country Andhra people were treated as second class citizens and abused by Telangana leaders. He posted a cartoon in his Facebook account on social media which showed AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu felicitating AICC president Rahul Gandhi with a cloth snatched from NTR’s statue and the statue was wondering and watching the felicitation.
Mr Kalyan recalled that in the year 2014, the two national parties, the Congress and the BJP, had bifurcated AP in the most undemocratic manner, causing deep humiliation, pain and agony. The most humiliating part in this entire bifurcation episode was the opportunistic role played by AP businessmen-turned-political-leaders who did not give a damn about the people as long as their business contracts and positions were safeguarded. He stated that the Andhra people were deeply humiliated for no fault of theirs and had lost the advantages.
