CBI, ED, I-T will raid TRS leaders, be prepared: KCR in TRSLP meet

Rao told the ministers that the party will win 72 to 80 of 119 seats in Assembly if elections are held now and score a \'hat-trick\'

Hyderabad: TRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao is learnt to have cautioned ministers, party MPs, MLAs and MLCs and MPs against indulging in any activities that give scope for central investigation agencies like the CBI, ED and the I-T department to conduct raids and probes.

He also alerted party leaders that the BJP-government at the Centre and central investigation agencies would target TRS leaders more aggressively in the coming days.

“Be prepared to face raids but do not worry or fear raids and probes,” he said.
Rao is believed to have made these comments while addressing the TRS Legislature Party (TRSLP) meeting at Telangana Bhavan on Saturday soon after the conclusion of the Cabinet meeting at Pragathi Bhavan.

Rao opined that there was no need to go for early Assembly polls but asked the party's rank and file to be prepared to face polls anytime. While assuring party tickets to all MLAs in the next elections, Rao reportedly shared the findings of internal surveys commissioned by the party on the winning prospects.

Rao told them that the party will win 72 to 80 of 119 seats in Assembly if elections are held now and score a 'hat-trick'. If leaders and cadre put up more effort, the party would bag 90 seats.

Rao reportedly shared survey reports on Munugode Assembly by-poll stating that TRS will win comfortably while the BJP will be pushed to the third place despite all the hype being created by the BJP's central and state leadership.

Referring to CBI and ED raids, Rao reportedly said that the BJP-government at the Centre had already targetted the Shiv Sena, RJD and AAP and TRS would also be in this list.

He told them that the Modi government's “tricks” to topple the Shiv Sena-led government in Maharashtra had paid off but had failed in Bihar and Delhi. “In the same way, they will not succeed in Telangana,” he said.

Rao repeatedly told party leaders not to fear or worry about CBI and ED raids saying that there was nothing the BJP could do in Telangana.

He asked MLAs to remain in public, take active part in party and government programmes and address the issues and concerns of the locals. While assuring tickets to all sitting MLAs, Rao also reportedly warned some non-performing legislators to perform or perish.

"It's the policy of TRS to give tickets to sitting MLAs. But if some fail to deliver, we will give them two or three chances to improve till elections. If they don't, they have to face the consequences," he reportedly warned.
