Hyderabad: Telangana TD MLA R. Krishnaiah has urged Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to announce Backward Classes (BC) declaration over 200 resolutions passed in a meeting in December.
Speaking to mediapersons on Thursday, Mr Krishnaiah said that the Telangana CM had conducted a meeting with BC MLAs and MLCs of all parties for three days in December and passed 200 resolutions. But even after five months, the CM has not implemented the resolutions.
Mr Krishnaiah urged KCR to sanction 500 BC residential schools and 100 degree residential colleges for BC students. He said that the state government had collected applications to create self-employment opportunities through the BC Corporation.
So far, 5.77 lakh applications were received and no one was granted subsidy till today.
The TD MLA demanded the state government to sanction subsidy to all the applicants. He said that in engineering, medical, MBA and other courses, the state government has been paying total fee for SC/ST and minority students and injustice is being done to BC students.
