MLC voter slips to be distributed by Sunday

ANANTAPUR: Anantapur collector and returning officer of graduates and teachers’ MLC constituencies S. Naga Lakshmi directed the election staff to distribute all voter slips by Sunday, March 5.

The officer inspected the polling stations in various parts of the district on Friday. Anantapur RDO Madhusudhan and other election staff accompanied her.

Naga Lakshmi asked election staff to mention reasons when they fail to hand over voter slips to the voters. The same information must be submitted to the State Election Commission.

Meanwhile, campaigning has been going on vigorously for the two MLC seats. YSRC led by Anantapur urban MLA A. Venkatrami Reddy has taken it as a prestigious matter to win both the graduate and teacher seats. Left parties are making serious efforts to convince voters against the apathetic policies of the government.

Graduate constituency candidate of YSRC Vennapusa Ravindra Reddy is attending meetings and campaigning in all parts of the region.

TD candidate Ramgopal Reddy of Pulivendula has already been campaigning for the past six months. TD politburo member Kalava Srinivasulu said graduates and teachers are unhappy and ready to teach a lesson to the YSRC government led by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

In the last polls, YSRC won the graduates seat while the TD politburo member Kalava Srinivasulus constituency.
