Hyderabad: A day after meeting Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Telugu Desam MLA from Sathupalli constituency, Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, announced on Sunday that he would soon join the Telangana Rashtra Samiti.
The MLA said that he has decided to join hands with Chief Minister K. Chandra-shekhar Rao for development of Sathupalli constituency and the rest of erstwhile Khammam district.
He said that he would submit his resignation after discussing the matter with his followers and supporters.
He said that with the failure of the Praja Kutami in the last Assembly elections, the TD has lost its presence and relevance in Telan-gana state. The TD won only two seats in the last Assembly elections, and with Mr Veeraiah’s exit, it has been reduced to only one member in the House.
