Telangana Congress 2nd phase bus yatra from today

He asked party workers and public to take part in the yatra aimed at creating awareness about the failures of TRS government.

Hyderabad: TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy expressed confidence that the second phase of the Congress Praja Chaitanya Bus Yatra, to be held from March 4 to 8, would also be successful.

In a live interaction with party workers on Facebook on Saturday, Mr Reddy said the yatra had received tremendo-us response on all the th-ree days in six constituencies.

In the next phase, it would cover 10 Assem-bly constituencies and there would be public meetings at Bodhan and Nizamabad on the first day, Armur and Balkon-da on the second, Nir-mal and Metpally the th-ird, Sircilla and Manak-onduru the next day and finally in Husnabad and Huzurabad.

He asked party workers and public to take part in the yatra aimed at creating awareness about the failures of TRS government.

He accused IT minister K.T. Rao of resorting to ‘cheap’ politics and levelling ‘baseless and personal’ allegations agai-nst him, ignoring the fact that he had served the country as a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force.

“We will give a be-fitting reply to all their allegations during the bus yatra,” he added.

Mr Reddy took a strong note of the rising police excesses on Congress workers. After coming to power, none harassing Congress workers would be spared and they would be paid back ‘with interest’, he said, but asked partymen to maintain restraint.
