T Harish Rao: Congress, BJP wiped out
Hyderabad: Finance minister T. Harish Rao on Friday said the Congress BJP and Telugu Desam have been wiped out from the state’s political scenario.
Addressing a preparatory meeting of TRS cadres of the Jawaharnagar Municipal Corporation, Mr Harish Rao said as the TRS was going to the people for the municipal polls but the Opposition parties were going to the court to stall the polls fearing defeat.
He said that the TRS is a people’s party that was born from a people’s movement. People are its high command while for the Congress and the BJP the high command is at Delhi.
Mr Harish Rao said the Congress and the BJP would not win any municipality or corporation. “If at all they win a few seats what they would do? The TRS will rule the state for another four-and-a-half years,” Mr Harish Rao said,
He said that the ticket aspirants must keep in mind that they could behave like leaders after their victory, they to serve the people. If necessary, they have to remove garbage personally, he said.
He advised the aspirants to carefully read the Municipal Act because if they indulge in wrongdoing the collectors have the power to disqualify them.
Mr Harish Rao said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had instructed him to ensure release of funds to welfare programmes. The economic slowdown will not cause any hindrance to the welfare schemes.
While appealing to the people to vote the TRS, he said if the Congress and the BJP were elected, it would amount to feeding the donkey and milking the buffalo.
