BENGALURU: The members of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) on Saturday accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of starting a campaign to induct rowdy sheeters into the party and also launching a new wing “Rowdy Morcha” by induction of rowdy sheeters into the party.
The Congress party leaders alleged that a notorious rowdy sheeter Bethanagere Shankara has been inducted into the BJP by handing over the BJP flag at a function held in Bengaluru in presence of Minister for Revenue R. Ashoka and also Lok Sabha member Pratap Simha. To join BJP, Congress leaders accused Bethanagere Shankara of changing his name to Nallur Shankar.
A couple of days back, a rowdy sheeter Manjunath was nominated to Anekal Municipality by the State Government. Manjunath alias Uppi is accused of murder charge among others.
In a twitter post, Congress leaders launched an attack on Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and accused him of acting like a Mahaguru (great teacher) and questioned whether he intends to form a ‘Rowdy State?”
