K Chandrasekhar Rao vows repeat of GHMC results
Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samiti supremo and caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday alleged that it was jealousy and political greed that was making his counterpart, Telugu Desam president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, interfere in Telangana state politics.
He questioned whether the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister “will give you electricity, drinking water, damage-free roads or proper drainage if you vote for Prajakutami candidates.”
The Telangana Rashtra Samiti, he said, has given tickets to people from Andhra Pradesh living in the city, during the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections and also in the current Assembly elections.
Mr Rao said the people should not believe the false surveys by the media controlled by Mr Chandrababu Naidu. “Today I declare a factual survey: TRS will hit a century, and the party will also win 100 seats in the upcoming general elections. The public will see a repeat of the Municipal Corporation elections,” he said.
He appealed to the voters to support the Telangana Rashtra Samiti in the parliamentary elections in 2019 and said a large number of TRS MPs will help in forming the ‘Federal Front’ at the Centre.
