Hyderabad: BJP president Amit Shah on Sunday alleged that the Congress and the TRS were “appeasing” minorities. Attacking MIM leaders Asaduddin Owaisi and Akbaruddin Owaisi , Mr Shah said that the Rao government feared them and had stopped celebrating Hyderabad Liberation Day. If the BJP forms government, Hyderabad Liberation Day would be celebrated in a grand way, Mr Shah said.
He alleged that Mr Akbaruddin Owaisi had been saying that whoever becomes Chief Minister of Telangana state should keep his head at the feet of the MIM.
Stating that there was going to be a tripartite battle, the BJP chief said, “On one side is KCR who made Telangana kneel before the AIMIM, another is the Congress who sent Navjot Singh Sidhu to hug Pakistan army chief and on the third side are nationalists led by PM Modi.”
He said that Mr Rao has promised a 12-per cent reservation for Muslims and the BJP and its cadre will ensure that a reservation based on religion will not be implemented in state.
