YSRC MLC Ravindra Babu seeks ban on Jana Sena

Ravindrababu alleged that Pawan Kalyan had a habit of taking the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes communities for granted

Kakinada: YSRC MLC Pandula Ravindrababu has urged the Election Commission to ban Jana Sena as the party and its chief Pawan Kalyan were "playing caste politics and instigating a caste war." The Jana Sena is a fascist outfit, he said.

The MLA told the media here on Sunday that Kalyan’s Rajamahendravaram meeting on Saturday was highly objectionable as it was held against all norms of civilization and democracy. A leader like Pawan Kalyan should not be allowed to contest the election and his party should be banned, he said.

Ravindrababu, a former Amalapuram MP, also alleged that Pawan Kalyan had a habit of taking the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes communities for granted. “We (Dalits) are not at your mercy and you can’t manipulate us politically,’’ he warned Pawan Kalyan. He asked whether Pawan Kalyan wanted to make slaves out of SCs and use them to gain political power. “The SCs will not play his games,” he said.

The MLA said Pawan Kalyan need not dream of using Dalits to feed his political ambitions. Constitution founder Dr B.R. Ambedkar is the driving force behind the SCs and STs, and these Dalit communities would not trust Pawan Kalyan.

Ravindrababu also mocked Pawan Kalyan by saying the JS leader could only see the bad condition of roads and not the plight of the poor in these Covid times. “The actor has not consoled even a single Covid-hit family so far, he said.

Jana Sena leader S. Rajababu came up with a strong counter. He said Ravindrababu was “a slave” to upper caste leaders. When he was in Telugu Desam, he held the feet of Chandrababu Naidu and now he is doing so with Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, hoping to become a minister.

Why did Ravindrababu not question Jagan Mohan Reddy about the SC Corporation not getting funds and the lack of development of SC students, while students from other groups were being sent abroad for higher studies, he said.
