Kannababu accuses Pawan of playing political drama
VIJAYAWADA: Agriculture minister Kurasala Kannababu has accused Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan of staging a political drama in the name of Sramadanam and declaring war on Jagan Mohan Reddy government.
Speaking to media here on Saturday, the minister said the main Sramadanam event had lasted only 1.08 minutes, posing for photos and videos, which is more like Pawan’s style of ‘start-camera-action’. He questioned the popular actor for what reason he is waging war against the state government, whether it is for providing welfare schemes to poor during Covid or for introducing English medium in government schools, or renovating dilapidated government hospitals.
Kannababu said the cine star only wants to divert people’s attention from AP Chief Minister’s war against poverty, because of which YSRCP has continued to win massive victories in every election. He slammed the Jana Sena leader for politicising every aspect, and reminded him that people will not fall for his tricks.
The minister criticised Pawan Kalyan for raising the issue of roads, particularly after the state government prepared an action plan for repairing all roads at a cost Rs 2,200 crore, which will start soon after the monsoon. He wondered why the Jana Senani had remained silent during the previous government’s rule, whose neglect of roads had led to their present pitiable condition.
On the cine star’s call to Kapu, Telaga and Ontari communities to unite and wage a battle against YSR Congress, Kannababu said Pawan is only trying to create a rift among people by playing caste politics. He maintained that people will continue to live in harmony across the state, as the Jagan government is working for empowerment of even the smallest castes.
