Jagan setting right Naidu bloopers: YSRC MLA
VIJAYAWADA: Vijayawada Central MLA of YSR Congress, Malladi Vishnu slammed senior Telugu Desam leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu for stooping down to new lows while making baseless comments against Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. He said that Ramakrishnudu was the worst finance minister ever for the state.
Vishnu said that Ramakrishnudu was the benami of N Chandrababu Naidu, who had looted the state’s wealth. He said that ‘Jagannanna Swachh Sankalpam’ was not a centrally-funded initiative but from funds coming from the user-charges levied from the people. He clarified that not a single vehicle was procured for Clean Andhra Pradesh (CLAP) with the funds from the Centre.
Vishnu further alleged that the wrong financial policies of Ramakrishnudu had pushed the state 20 years behind.
Meanwhile, TD politburo member Varla Ramaiah on Saturday demanded that the Central Government order an investigation by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) into the involvement of the state drugs mafia in the Rs 2 lakh crore heroin smuggling in the country.
Ramaiah said that there were widespread reports on the AP-Afghan mafia links after multi-crore drugs were recovered at Mundra port in Gujarat.
In just four months, Rs 2 Lakh crore worth of drugs were smuggled into the country. It was high time that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and home minister Amith Shah took a serious look at the Vijayawada-Kandahar mafia links. The drug mafia that is operating in Andhra Pradesh must be exposed and suitably dealt with.
