Bharat challenges Lokesh to visit Rajamahendravaram

Rajamahendravaram MP Margani Bharat maintained that Lokesh is undertaking padayatra to reduce his body fat and not for the welfare of people

Kakinada: Rajamahendravaram MP Margani Bharat Ram challenged that he will take on Telugu Desam national general secretary Nara Lokesh politically if he visits Rajamahendravaram as part of his Yuvagalam Padayatra.

Bharat told media at Nallajerla in East Godavari district on Sunday that during his padayatra, Lokesh is threatening officials in the name of “Red Book” that he has with names of officials and bureaucrats who have been causing hurdles in his padayatra. Lokesh is threatening to take action against such officials once TD returns to power.

“Lokesh should control his tongue, particularly when he is talking about Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. I will sort out the issue of Red Book,” the MP remarked. He ridiculed the TD leader for not knowing the difference between insurance and pension. He maintained that Lokesh is undertaking padayatra to reduce his “body fat” and not for the welfare of people.

Bharat called upon people not to believe Chandrababu Naidu’s speeches and his promises that he has never kept. He maintained that after assuming power, ruling YSRC government is gradually clearing the debts that AP has incurred during the rule of Telugu Desam.

Speaking about the development, Bharat said national highways minister Nitin Gadkari is paying special attention to development of the Greenfield Highway from Suyapeta to Vizianagaram through Khammam, Devarapalli, Rajamahendravaram, Gokavaram and Rampachodavaram agency at a cost of ₹3,200 crore.

The MP said Gadkari has okayed the proposal of the AP Chief Minister for a bridge across Polavaram from Khammam and Buttayidgudem, which will connect Devipatnam and Rampachodavaram, reducing the travelling distance to Vizianagaram by 40 kilometres along the national highway.

Gopalapuram MLA Talari Venkatrao and others were present.
