Congress WP's claim is fallout of fight with UTTAM, says TRS

Mr Vikramarka had alleged that TRS ministers and MLAs were planning to join the Congress.

Hyderabad: TRS leaders on Saturday said Congress working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka had been resorting to loose talk due to differences with PCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy. Mr Vikramarka had alleged that TRS ministers and MLAs were planning to join the Congress.

Government Whip Palla Rajeswara Reddy, Peddapalli MP Balka Suman and MLC T. Bhanu Prasad said it was the “joke of the millennium” to say TRS leaders would join the Congress.

They said Mr Vikramarka would lose his deposit in the 2019 elections, and the “so-called national party will not get more than five Assembly seats.”

Mr Bhanu Prasad said Mr Vikra-marka was in “deep hibernation” and woke up to criticise the TRS to gain publicity. He said leaders of the Congress and Opposition parties feared losing ground due to the TRS government implementing schemes to benefit farmers.

Mr Rajeswara Reddy said when the Congress was bent upon opposing every scheme of the government, it was not possible to hold an all-party meeting to elicit its opinions.
