Naidu continues his tirades against YSRC

TD president N. Chandrababu Naidu continued his tirades against the YSRC by targeting local MLAs and MPs along with Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy during his tour of irrigation projects in the Rayalaseema region on Thursday.

Naidu cited “irregularities” and delay in the completion of irrigation project works under Handri Neeva Sujala Sravanthi irrigation and drinking water project in Anantapur and Satya Sai districts.

Chandrababu visited Perur Reservoir, Mid Pennar and BT projects in Anantapur area. He had interactions with local “intellectuals” and leaders at a function hall in Anantapur.

Speaking at the Kia plant near Penukonda after throwing a selfie challenge to Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, the TD chief alleged poor industrial development in the state since 2019.

Referring to KIA he said it has become a brand similar to Charminar in Hyderabad.

The TD chief alleged that the Hindupur MP, Gorantla Madhav, has threatened KIA management instead of supporting the industry. The Rapthadu MLA was involved in land grabbing issues and neglected the Perur Project for his selfish ends, he said.

“There was no progress for the irrigation projects during the past four years though all necessary sanctions were given during the TD term, he said.

Naidu recalled that the HNSS project turned into a reality only due to the initiatives from N.T. Rama Rao to irrigate drought hit Rayalaseema region.

Meanwhile, the YSRC countered Naidu over a “provocation” at Pulivendula during his road show. Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy said Naidu tried to disturb peace through his provocative speeches in Pulivendula.

"Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy developed Kuppam by upgrading it as a revenue division. Naidu tried to create law and order problems by bringing in a swarm of non-locals for his meeting. None from Pulivendula has a positive attitude towards Naidu," Avinash Reddy claimed.
