Divyavani quits TD, says no recognition to her services
Vijayawada: Telugu Desam leader and party spokesperson Divyavani on Thursday announced that she was quitting the party and submitted her resignation to party chief N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Stating that she was very much pained to note that there is no position to film artistes like her in the party which was established by a film star himself, Divyavani said there was no proper guidance for sincere workers in the party.
It may be recalled that on Tuesday Divyavani had announced her resignation saddened over denial of an opportunity to speak at the Mahanadu and blaming some evil forces within the party, she later relented after leaders pacified her and cancelled her decision.
On Wednesday she met Naidu after which she decided to quit the party and announced it on Thursday.
At a time when everybody felt that it was just a storm in a tea cup, on Thursday morning, Divyavani surprised everybody saying she was resigning from the party.She posted a video clipping in social media to that effect. Divyavani burst into tears within minutes of addressing the reporters. She alleged, “Some spoke nonsense about me, saying I had taken a package from Naidu for continuing in the party.”
