N Uttam Kumar Reddy asks TRS about Dole for jobless

Reddy, recently elected to the Lok Sabha from Nalgonda, claimed that it was the Congress only which will defeat the TRS in Telangana.

Hyderabad: TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Sunday claimed that Telangana state was achieved thorough the struggle of Congress MPs and statehood become a reality because of the unrelenting commitment of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi to give voice to Telangana’s aspirations.

While addressing the gathering at Gandhi Bhavan after unfurling the National Flag on occasion of Telangana Formation Day, he criticised the TRS government for not formulating guidelines for distribution of allowance to the unemployed in the state though more than six months had elapsed after the TRS came to power for the second time.

Mr Reddy, recently elected to the Lok Sabha from Nalgonda, claimed that it was the Congress only which will defeat the TRS in Telangana.

The TPCC chief alleged that the Centre had failed in fulfilling the promises made during the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh five years ago.

He demanded that the Centre take immediate steps to establish the steel factory at Bayyaram, the tribal university and the railway coach factory at Kazipet, promises made in the bifurcation Act.

He said that the BJP had won four Lok Sabha seats in the state through sheer luck.

Several senior leaders of the Congress including Mr K. Jana Reddy, Mr Ponnala Laxmaiah, Mr V. Hanumantha Rao, Mr Mohammed Ali Shabbir and Mr K. Jaya Prakash Reddy were present at the occasion.
