TRS failed the people: Kodandaram

Kodandaram accused the government of stifling the voice of TJAC and other organisations which question the wrongdoings of the government.

Hyderabad: TJAC chairman M. Kodandaram on Friday said that the TS government has failed to meet the aspirations of people in the last three years.

Speaking on the occasion of third anniversary of Telangana state formation, he said the TJAC will continue to take up agitations against the anti-people and anti-farmer policies of the TRS government.

He accused the government of stifling the voice of TJAC and other organisations which question the wrongdoings of the government.

“The government is not giving permission to TJAC to hold any meeting in the state because we question the its wrongdoings and flawed policies. The government claims it is not afraid of TJAC. Then why it is denying permission to TJAC to hold meetings to discuss on problems faced by various sections in Telangana,” Prof Kodandaram asked.

He alleged TRS government has failed to address the three core issues of water, funds and employment for which the people sought statehood.

He said farmers remained the worst-hit due to forcible land acquisitions and neglect.
