Kochi: The elected representatives of the BJP at the local bodies should strive to strengthen the party at the local level in the state, BJP national president Amit Shah said on Friday. Addressing a meeting of the 1,200 elected BJP representative of LSGI in the state in Kochi Shah said the position in the elected bodies should be used for spreading the development agenda of the union government and the BJP.
Stressing the need for countering the false propaganda against the party by political enemies, Shah said the members of the local bodies carry a special responsibility in this regard as they are constantly in touch with the people at the grass root levels. The meeting was attended by the elected representatives of BJP from people from all 14 districts in the state. Mr. Shah has also launched a website of the Jala Swaraj project of BJP in a separate function.
