Shivakumar has directed Bescom officials to address the complaints immediately and also asked them to keep their phone switched on!

Speaking to reporters after inspecting Karnataka Vidyut Karkane Limited (Kavika) on Mysuru Road near Deepanjalinagar in the city, the minister said that in order to have a proper monitoring mechanism in place, the vigilance team will be in touch with executive engineers of the respective power sub-stations.

Due to the recent heavy rains, several electric poles have been damaged across the state. Bescom plans to spend Rs 20 crore to fix the damages.
