Supporters greet TTV Dhinakaran's release, thank judge
Chennai: The supporters of AIADMK deputy general secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran on Friday greeted his release on bail in the case charging him with trying to bribe an Election Commission official to get ‘two leaves’ symbol with posters hailing him as ‘Maaveeran’.
The posters thanked the judge for granting bail and welcomed Dhinakaran. The lines from poet Subramania Bharathi ‘Dharmathin vaazhvudhanai soodhu kavvum, mudivil dharmam vellum’ (Evil will encircle dharma, but finally dharma will triumph) were found on top of the posters.
Besides the image of Dhinakaran with folded hands, the images of party founder MGR, former Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa and AIADMK general secretary V.K. Sasikala find a place in the posters.
Another poster quoted the line from MGR’s film ‘Arasa Kattalai’ that hares could not stand in front of lions and wished Dhinakaran to succeed in his works.
Dhinakaran’s supporters have arranged a grand welcome for their leader who is expected to land in Chennai airport on Saturday.
Jaya TV, supporting AIADMK, carried the remarks of party cadre that Dhinakaran would defeat the cases foisted on him. They cited the judge’s remarks that the official who is to receive the bribe was not found by the police and added he would win the case easily.
