THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: O. Rajagopal, who opened the account for the BJP in the state Assembly, received a warm reception from elected representatives cutting across party lines as he reached the House on Thursday. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, former Chief Ministers Oommen Chandy and V.S. Achuthanandan, Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala and other leaders greeted Mr Rajagopal on his arrival.
Being the lone representative of the BJP in the house, Mr Rajagopal was seated in the front row, flanked by Mr Chandy on his right and CMP's Vijayan Pillai on the left. BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan and many party leaders were present in the House to witness Mr. Rajagopal's swearing in ceremony. He took the oath in the name of God.
