Congress book vehicles to carry cadres to Rahul’s meeting
KHAMMAM: The Congress has started booking vehicles to transport party workers and party sympathisers to the venue of Congress leader and MP Rahul Gandhi’s meeting in Warangal on May 6.
It is planning to engage at least 100 buses, 200 cars and 20 vans from Khammam and Bhadradri-Kothagudem districts to make Rahul’s meeting in Warangal a grand success. However, some RTC officials allegedly refused to provide buses for the meeting and returned the money paid by party organisers for booking RTC buses.
Khammam Town Congress president Mahammad Javed said the RTC Khammam depot manager asked them to wait for booking as the higher officials had not given their assent to ply buses to Warangal. RTC Khammam depot manager Sankar said the higher officials had given their consent to ply buses to Warangal on contract basis.
