Talasani Srinivas Yadav asks Akhilesh Yadav to support K Chandrasekhar Rao
Hyderabad: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav was greeted with a rousing reception upon his arrival at Begumpet Airport on Wednesday.
He was received by IT minister K.T. Rama Rao and minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav.
The scores of Yadava leaders assembled at the airport chanted “Jai Jai Akhilesh Yadav” and “Akhilesh Yadav Zindabad” upon his arrival.
Massive cut outs and banners welcoming Mr Yadav were erected on both sides of the road all the way from Begumpet Airport to Pragathi Bhavan, where Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao hosted a lunch for him.
Mr Yadav spent nearly six hours at Pragathi Bhavan. He had a four-hour meeting with the Chief Minister and then addressed a press conference along with him.
Mr Yadav then proceeded to the residence of minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav in West Marredpally, where he was invited for tea. Leaders of the Yadava community were also invited.
Mr Talasani Srinivas Yadav explained to Mr Akhilesh Yadav about the Telangana state government’s sheep distribution scheme Mr Rao’s pet project as part of which 50 lakh sheep were distributed to members of the Yadava community in Telangana at a cost of Rs 5,000 crore.
He said that such a scheme had not been implemented anywhere else in the country, and it was proof of Mr Rao’s commitment to socially and economically uplift the Yadavas.
He requested Mr Akhilesh Yadav to extend his support to Mr Rao, who was working for the welfare of the Yadavas.
